This month there is a strange spectacle of the Ring of Fire solar eclipse.
This rare astronomical event will occur on October 14, when a new moon, slightly smaller than average, will block about 90 percent of the sun for about five minutes.
This type of eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun at a time when the Moon is at or near the furthest point from our planet.
It does not completely obscure the face of the Sun, unlike a total solar eclipse. For this reason, it will appear for a moment as if a ring of fire surrounds the dark disk of the Moon.

Logical question? Why have there been so many eclipses and earthquakes recently in the world? According to NASA, maximum solar obscuration will occur, and the eclipse will pass through parts of several states in the United States. Starting at 5 p.m. GMT in: “Oregon.” It will next appear in: "California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas."
The path of the eclipse will later cross parts of “Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia and Brazil” before ending at sunset in the Atlantic Ocean.
At the same time, people in much larger parts of North America and Central America will be able to operate. And South America sees less blocking of the sun.

Another total solar eclipse is scheduled to occur on April 8, 2024, and it will pass over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
